A large area of open space alongside and mainly south of the River Blackwater where it runs through the Bocking area of (north) Braintree. It has wildflower meadows, patches of scrub and trees, and some wetland areas beside the river. Cycleways run through from south-west to east and there are a number of informal paths.

Visiting

North of Braintree centre, following the River Blackwater from where it passes under Bradford Street in the west, up to the A131 in the east. Access from Bradford Street and from the residential roads to the south.

Bus services run along Bradford Street and along Mountbatten Road through the housing to the south.

Accessible at all times.
